



On April 19, Mayor Edwin P. Aldan, Senate President Karl King-Nabors, 24th TALD Chairman Senator Jude U. Hofschneider, Tinian Mayor’s Office Chief of Staff Allen Perez, CBMA Representative Frederick Dela Cruz and Tinian Health Center Resident Director Keith Nabors met with Governor David M. Apatang, FEMA Region IX Administrator Robert J. Fenton Jr., Commander of Joint Task Force-Micronesia Rear Admiral Joshua Lasky, CNMI Homeland Security & Emergency Management Special Assistant Clemente Bermudes and the Governor’s Authorized Representative for the Public Assistance Office Patrick Guerrero to discuss ongoing recovery efforts following Typhoon Sinlaku.
During the meeting, officials discussed current recovery efforts, key challenges, anticipated timelines, and critical support needed to assist the people of Tinian. The discussion focused on identifying both immediate and long-term solutions to strengthen recovery operations and ensure resources are delivered efficiently to Tinian.
Leaders emphasized continued coordination among local, federal, military, and healthcare partners to support recovery and address the needs of residents impacted by the storm.
Officials also highlighted the anticipated arrival of FEMA teams to Tinian, with initial deployment expected on April 20, to further assist with response and recovery efforts on the ground.
The Municipality of Tinian & Aguiguan remains committed to working closely with all partners to ensure a strong, unified recovery and to support the people of Tinian every step of the way.
