TINIAN Mayor Edwin P. Aldan on Friday said he supports the renaming of Tinian International Airport in honor of former Senate President Francisco Manglona Borja.
In an interview on Friday, Aldan said he was pleased to express his support for the Commonwealth Ports Authority’s intent to rename the Tinian International Airport as the Francisco Manglona Borja/Tinian International Airport.
On Wednesday, CPA hosted a public hearing in Tinian Elementary School’s cafeteria to hear what Tinian community members had to say about the plan to rename the airport in honor of Borja who also served as the island’s mayor.
