Military to conduct training on Tinian, Farallon de Medinilla, open ocean

THE CNMI Emergency Operations Center State Warning Point in conjunction with U.S. Naval Forces Marianas Guam, would like to inform the general public that the military will conduct training on Tinian, Farallon de Medinilla, and in the open ocean.

The dates and times are as follows:

Feb. 26 to March 3, 2024             

12 a.m. – 11:59 p.m.

The training will take place on and in the vicinity of Tinian exclusive military area, Farallon de Medinilla, and in the open ocean.

Mariners are advised to remain clear 12 nautical miles around Farallon de Medinilla for the duration of the event.

Marine vessels are advised to monitor the U.S. Coast Guard broadcast Notice to Mariners for advisories and remain clear of the areas for the duration of the events.

Acting Gov. David M. Apatang is advising residents in the areas surrounding the training exercises should not be alarmed if they hear or see increased training activity.
