COTA Service Update as of April 23, 2026 – Recovery Operations Ongoing

The Commonwealth Office of Transit Authority (COTA) remains activated in support of CNMI Homeland Security and Emergency Management, assisting with shelter transportation and other essential transit needs during recovery. COTA is proud to announce that since activation, COTA has transported over 190 shelterees, first responders, and individuals with medical needs.

Current Service Status
Call-A-Ride Rota (CARR):
Normal operational hours have resumed. To schedule a ride, contact COTA’s One-Call One-Click Transportation Information Resource Center at 670-236-2686.

Blue Line 1B Fixed Route:
Service is currently suspended until road conditions are safe and accessible.

Call-A-Ride Demand Response (Saipan & Tinian):
Operating on a limited basis for essential trips only, including:

  • Hemodialysis appointments
  • Prescription refills
  • Clinic visits
  • Other scheduled medical needs


Service is prioritized based on urgency and road accessibility.

COTA’s top priority remains the safety of passengers, operators, and the broader community. All service decisions are made in coordination with emergency management officials and based on real-time conditions.
