On Thursday, May 07, 2026, Mayor Edwin P. Aldan met with Lawrence Camacho, Commissioner of Education, and Eric Magofna, Associate Commissioner of Administration, to discuss the reopening of schools and other ongoing matters related to recovery efforts in the CNMI following Typhoon Sinlaku.
Discussions focused on the continued coordination needed to support students, faculty, staff, and families as the community works toward restoring normal operations and ensuring a safe learning environment for all.
